Cliste Hospitality Announces Senior Leadership Team Appointments

Cork, 25 September 2025 — Cliste Hospitality has announced six appointments to its Senior Leadership Team (SLT), strengthening leadership across all core business functions. The appointments reflect both the experience within the organisation and Cliste’s commitment to strong governance, operational consistency, and long-term value creation for stakeholders.

The following colleagues will now join our CEOs, COO and Executive Director of Development on the Senior Leadership Team:

• Deirdre Buckley, Chief People Officer – with Cliste since 2018, Deirdre has led the People & Culture function since the group’s foundation.

• Emer Hallahan, Group Director of Marketing – joined Cliste in 2019 as E-commerce Manager, and now oversees digital and brand marketing across the portfolio.

• Seamus Preston, Group Director of Operations – joined Cliste in 2018 as a Hotel General Manager and now directs group-wide operations, sustainability, and culinary

• Christian Schmelter, Group Sales Director – joined Cliste in 2019 and leads the group sales strategy across domestic and international markets.

• Michael Cullen, Group Financial Controller – joined Cliste in 2020, overseeing financial planning and performance management.

• Tjeerd de Vries, Group Financial Controller – joined Cliste in 2024 and works alongside Michael to strengthen financial oversight across the group.

These appointments combine the progression of proven internal talent with strengthened executive oversight, ensuring consistency across people, marketing, operations, sales, and finance.
