Cliste Hospitality launches “Clean The Planet Not My Room” across its hotel portfolio

Cliste Hospitality is launching a new room cleaning initiative entitled “Clean The Planet, Not My Room” across its portfolio of managed hotels, including The iNUA Collection, in a bid to provide more sustainable travel options to guests. This double-edge initiative, which forms part of Cliste Hospitality’s wider sustainability programme, will reduce energy and water consumption, and ultimately reduce the carbon footprint of hotel stays, whilst also creating a positive community impact.

Starting from today, all guests who stay more than one night in Cliste Hospitality’s hotels can choose to partake in the Clean The Planet initiative. By opting out of the daily room cleaning and fresh towels service, guests will receive a €5 dining voucher for use in the hotels’ restaurants and cafes, and Cliste Hospitality will also make a €1 donation to their charity partner, Down Syndrome Ireland, on guests’ behalf. Alternatively, guests can choose to receive fresh towels but opt out of their room clean. In exchange, guests forego the dining voucher but Cliste Hospitality will still make a €1 donation to Down Syndrome Ireland on their behalf.

According to the Sustainable Travel Report 2022, 71% of consumers desire to travel more sustainably over the coming 12 months which represents a 10% year-on-year increase since 2021. As one of Ireland’s leading hospitality management firms, Cliste Hospitality believes it important to take an active role in preserving our island’s natural resources and creating more positive community impacts across Ireland.

“We are delighted to launch the Clean the Planet Not My Room initiative across our portfolio of managed hotels, and The iNUA Collection, to help guests curtail their carbon footprint and gain a deeper community connection while staying with us” said Chris Austin, Group Director of Operations at Cliste Hospitality. “We believe that sustainability should be at the forefront of our operations, and this programme is just one of the ways in which we are working towards a more environmentally and socially conscious future for our guests, colleagues, clients, and investors.”

Cliste Hospitality is committed to making a positive impact on the environment and the community, and this initiative across its portfolio of hotels is just their latest step in that direction. The Clean the Planet Not My Room initiative is now live in Cliste Hospitality’s managed hotels across Ireland including Dubl!n One Hotel, Fairways Hotel Dundalk, Ariel House, as well as The iNUA Collection locations; Radisson Blu Hotels in Cork, Athlone, Limerick and Sligo, Kilkenny Hibernian Hotel, Tullamore Court Hotel, Hillgrove Hotel & Spa, and the five-star Muckross Park Hotel & Spa.
